World Environment Day

Time for nature

World Environment Day is a renowned day of truly global environmental action, organised by the United Nations Environmental Programme.

The campaign for 2020 set out to educate a global audience on the importance of biodiversity (a less reported and understood subject in the mainstream), and present an inspiring call to action, whilst avoiding a doom and gloom approach (the global pandemic was just taking hold as the campaign was conceived).

The key narratives presented in the applications educate in a comprehendable way, on the amazing transactions taking place around us in the natural world.

A bold, direct visual language can be easily adopted by the many host countries and UN departments.

The flag of 2020’s host country, Columbia inspired the campaign’s bold primary colour palette.
